PTCL, Nokia sign MoU for Innovative ICT Solutions
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Nokia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore innovative information communication technology (ICT) solutions for industries, government, cities, and businesses throughout Pakistan.
The agreement would also foster the digital transformation of businesses across the country and assist in realizing the full potential of the ICT market, a statement said on Thursday.
Under the MoU, PTCL and Nokia would hold talks to strategize and create a go-to-market strategy to meet market demands by combining PTCL solutions with Nokia goods and services, such as the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC), a platform for wireless networking and edge computing.
“PTCL is the leading ICT services provider with a huge footprint across Pakistan,” said Zarrar Hasham Khan, Group Chief Business Solutions Officer, and PTCL & Ufone. “In Pakistan, PTCL is playing a crucial role in fostering digital transformation by collaborating with other ICT companies to suit market demands,” he added.
According to Imran Durrani, leader of the customer team for PTCL Group at Nokia, MoU is evidence of the firm’s efforts to improve its relationship with PTCL. According to him, Nokia would use private wireless products and services, such as DAC, to enable PTCL to affordably provide digital solutions to its enterprise customers across various market segments.
