With the ever increasing culture of startups and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MOITT) together with Mobilink Jazz has laid the foundation of National Incubation Center (NIC) to promote young generation in showcasing their ideas and thoughts. The National Incubation Center is one of its own kind technology hubs and is a public-private partnership of Ministry of IT and Telecom, National ICT R&D Fund, Jazz, and TeamUp.
Minister of state for IT and Telecom, Mrs. Anusha Rahman launched the National Incubation Center sponsored by number one digital company Jazz. The minister seemed quite hopeful on this occasion and considered it to be a major step in the digital world. She also thanked the efforts of her team and all other partners who were behind this launch. Moreover, she also welcomed the startups who are going to join the National Incubation Center and wished them the very best of luck in achieving their dreams. The minister also announced the launch of four more incubation centers in the four provincial capitals in order to support IoT, Robotics, and Fintech.
The incubation center will provide incubation facilities under the ‘Jazz xlr8 program’ with the support of TeamUp. The incubation center aims to provide free of cost work space, free broadband internet, incubation, acceleration, seed funding and an access to 50 million plus mobile customers. The center will also provide the entrepreneurs with the exposure to industry experts who will provide them certain mentoring and will help entrepreneurs in realizing their full potential.
The National Incubation Center will initially support 40 startups in its first year. The Center is going to prove a milestone in the promotion of entrepreneurship and bringing a positive change in the society.
