With the ever increasing use of internet, working from home has become a common trend. Internet is playing a vital role in all sorts of freelance work. Along with succeeding in many other fields, there is a rapid growth seen in freelancing sector in Pakistan.
By observing a gigantic progress of freelance industry, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has introduced National Freelancing convention(NFC) to be held on 28th of March, 2017 at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) Lahore, Pakistan.
NFC would bring together leading freelancers from all across Pakistan as well as allow all relevant stakeholders of freelancing to network and interact with each other.
NFC is completely dedicated to the independent workers. The convention will give awareness about the opportunities this industry have for the new comers, both here in Pakistan and abroad. The total view of the freelancing industry will be given to the attendees.
NFC would comprise of following sessions
1. Freelancing to entrepreneurship; opportunities and challenges
2. Building efficient payment gateways for freelancers
3. Women in Tech
4. The art of blogging
Meetups are planned to bring the people from each group to convey their message and share their ideas. The meet ups include:

5. Tester’s Meetup
Last but not the least, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s flagship project, Chief Minister’s e-Rozgaar Program. will be officially launched on the day.
eRozgaar is a project where 40 co-working spaces & training centers are being set up in 36 districts of Punjab. This will open multiple opportunities for not just students but freelancers as well.
