According to a recent report by Dawn, 140 million Pakistanis have not even access to the power grid or face an average 12-houload-shedding every day.
In another report, Reuters says the $250 billion industry has been crippled by energy shortage.
To tackle this huge challenge, a number of companies and even individuals have come forward during recent years with their innovative solutions. One such solution is the Smart Energy System which will be made available to the public by SkyElectric, a Florida-based developer of intelligent solar energy solutions.
The SkyElectric Smart Energy System intelligently combines solar, grid and battery energy to provide the cleanest sources of energy and at the lowest possible cost. The Smart Energy System is targeted for homes, businesses and industries and comes in a large variety of power and energy capacities.
This solution will be the first environmental friendly Smart Energy System in Pakistan, the company claims.

The product is expected to be launched on February 27 in Islamabad. It will be made available to public and business in March 2017.
